Michigan Social Worker’s License Suspended for Deceptive Advertising

Following multiple reports of misrepresentation and deceit, a limited licensed social worker has had her license to practice summarily suspended. Limited licensed social workers in Michigan are required to work under the supervision of a fully licensed social worker. An investigation revealed that the limited licensed social worker was advertising services as a private practice provider and falsely claimed she had a master’s degree in neuroscience from Harvard University, though she never attended the University.
