Breaking News: President Obama Extends Mandate for Employers With 50-99 Full Time Equivalent Employees

On February 10, 2014 the Obama administration announced the delay of the employer mandate for business with 50-99 full time equivalent employees until January 2016 (affects 50% of employers).  Employers with 100 or more full time equivalent employees are still required to offer affordable health insurance to workers by January 1, 2015 or pay a penalty.  Those employers with less than 50 full time equivalent employees are not obligated, but may, provide health coverage to their workers.  Confused as to how to plan for the future, we can help by talking through your options.
