Are You Going To Be In Compliance With HIPAA On September 23, 2013?

Earlier this year the Department of Health and Human Services issued revisions to HIPAA regulations, including Privacy, Security, Breach Notification, and Enforcement Rules through the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (“HITECH”).  The deadline for compliance with HIPAA revisions is September 23, 2013, and impact patient authorization requirements for certain marketing activities, the impact HIPAA regulations will directly have on business associates and their subcontractors, increased penalties for regulatory violations, and modifications to business associate agreements and privacy notices.   Come September 23, 2013, will you be in compliance with the revised HIPAA regulations?
