All health care professionals must be aware of the impact health care laws have on their professional careers and long term goals.  Whether a resident physician or advanced practice registered nurse is negotiating his/her first employment agreement or a healthcare company looking to expand, The Health Law Center counsels clients on negotiation strategies and key provisions of proposed contractual arrangements, such as non-compete clauses, compensation and bonus structures.  The Health Law Center goes one step further by reviewing how such initial contractual language could impact the client’s autonomy, future opportunities, and professional goals.

For health care organizations and facilities such as health clinics, skilled nursing facilities, durable medical equipment, home health, and physical therapy companies, and hospice  organizations, The Health Law Center assists them with contractual and management issues, such as contractual arrangements with vendors, the implementation of administrative policies and procedures, and HIPAA compliance matters.  The Health Law Center takes an active role in working with management to identify the individualized needs of each organization, and then in collaboration with the client, identifies strategies consistent with their business goals.
